Crazy Hair Day!!

Check out Evan's Mohawk he had for crazy hair day today!

Evan meets Elijah!

So, we took at last minute trip to Dallas this past weekend and I'm so glad that we did. We had a few minor (we'll call them distractions), but all in all we had a great weekend. Evan had so much fun with everyone and was such a trooper the whole trip.

On Sunday we went to a "sip and see" for Katharine and Elijah, so I wanted to share a few photos from our fun weekend in Dallas.

15 Minute Naps!!

So, we all know that napping has never been Evan's strong suit, but the last few days he has taken it to a new level. Both yesterday and today he napped for 15 minutes all day long!!! Yes, 15 minutes. Needless to say he has been a different little boy in the afternoon when I pick him up. He is getting two new teeth, so I think that he may be experiencing some uncomfortableness because of those.

Yesterday after 15 minutes of screaming I finally got him down for a nap, but today he just didn't want to give up. He was so so cranky while I was making dinner that I called David to see where he was because I couldn't hold Evan and cook at the same time!! I hung up the phone and look at my shoulder and I have a passed out little boy. I just laid him down on the floor and this was the result. He just opened his eyes and looked at me and went right back to sleep! He never does that.

I just wish I could reason with him about how this is what happens when we don't nap. HA!! Wishful thinking. As I am posting we have a sound asleep little boy. Lets hope tomorrow's nap goes a little better.

Evan Turns One!!!

Okay, so I'm a little behind on the blogging, but I thought this special occasion was worth me taking the time to share the photos from Evan's birthday. We had such a wonderful weekend and it was so good to see everyone. Evan had a great time and was such a trooper even though he was exhausted. You wouldn't have known by watching him eat the cake though, he chowed down like he had been eating it for years! He already knows how good Mimi's cakes are!!
He is growing up so fast and is really turning into a little boy. He is definitely starting to be a little headstrong and is very determined to get what he wants. Who would have thought someone so small could have such a strong will sometimes. With his stubbornness also comes more laughs and fun each day. He is getting around everywhere, but not quite walking yet. He is pushing his toys around and is getting more and more brave, he just hasn't taken the plunge yet.
Enjoy the photos from the weekend!!!

Evan Crawling

We took this video last weekend of Evan crawling. This video was taken on Saturday and he started crawling on Tuesday. It is so crazy how fast he has learned and how much he is perfecting his new skills.

Easter Weekend

I would like to share with you guys some photos from Easter Weekend. We had such a good time and Evan loved crawling around and getting into everything at PawPaw and DeDe's house. He practiced crawling with Mimi, made friends with Cooper, enjoyed the beautiful weather outside, posed in some bluebonnets and played with the eggs. Evan had a very busy weekend! I hope you guys enjoy our little man, he is growing up way too fast.

I need more practice!

Obviously I have not done my best at keeping this up and am vowing to myself to do a much better job. Sometimes things get in the way i.e. a month of full of sickness that doesn't allow me to update this as much as I would like.
Needless to say, we have had a crazy, but eventful March. It started with Evan finally deciding (in the same day) to pull himself up to standing and get himself onto all fours. Unfortunately we had an exciting weekend planned on the weekend of March 13, but all three of us were victims of the nasty stomach bug going around. Yuck!! It was terrible. Poor Evan, it took him days to finally recover. This last week we took him in for a bad cough and a low grade fever and good thing I did because he has strep throat! Craziness! It doesn't seem like he can catch a break. I am hoping that as we head into the warmer weather we are going to be done with all of this sickness, I don't think I can handle anymore.
On a more exciting note, Evan is 10 months old! I can't believe it. He actually started crawling on my birthday, so that was super exciting. Now that he is crawling he has gotten very brave. In a weeks time he went from barely moving to crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling up on everything and trying to walk along the furniture. Needless to say with his new found skills he has already had a few falls!
I have posted a few photos from March. I hope you guys enjoy!
