11 Month Highlight for my 12 Month old
I'm way behind. I actually had this done earlier, but just haven't had the time to post it with the pictures. I will be posting her 12 month photos as wells as her birthday party pictures soon as well (and Halloween, etc, etc.)

Preschool Fun
August 27th marked the first day of "real" school for Evan. He has started Pre-K 3 at Ascension Episcopal School is Houston and LOVES it!! So far, it was been one of the best experiences for him. He talks about all of the fun things he gets to do, his friends, his teachers, and always tells me that I pick him up too early!! (I guess that's a good problem)
We love that he only has 7 kids in his class, and his teacher is incredible at making everything a teaching moment for all of the kids. Evan does so well with environmental learning and Ms. Blythe is awesome at it. He is so busy all day at school and they keep them moving and learning. Each day they have different classes they go to, and some they visit more than once. Evan gets to go to music, Spanish, motor skills, library, and chapel during the week. I don't even know how they fit it all in but they do.
His school experience and how much joy he has now when going to school makes all the chaos that we have been through in the last 3 months worth it. It confirms that even when it seems crazy, that we definitely made the right decision.
His teacher sends us such wonderful photos of them, so I wanted to share a little glimpse into Evan's school days.

Celebrating 90 years of Amazing
Okay...so this post is WAY overdue. I have a few that I've been holding onto that just haven't made it up yet. Hopefully I can get them all up this week!! HA
Back in August, my incredible grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday. I know, amazing. We had a little get together at my parents house to celebrate. I don't know who had more fun at the birthday party, Evan or Mimi. He was so excited about the birthday party and loved helping her open presents and blow out her candles.
She truly is one of the most amazing women I have ever met. She is tough as nails, but has such kind heart. The older I get the more I learn to appreciate how blessed I am that God gave me her as my grandma. Don't get me wrong I've always known she was special, but now I realize even more what a big part of my life she's been. It is so special that my children are lucky enough to enjoy her as well.
We love you, Mimi and wish many more birthdays to come!!

Evan and Zoe had fun making Mimi a card with their hands and feet.

Trying to figure out her new Ipad.
Growing, Growing-10 Months
Still amongst a little bit of chaos, I'm impressed with myself that I actually got this done. This month was the hardest to capture. This baby girl is in no way interested in stopping for my photo shoot. She also decided that she would rather play with her bow than wear it (sad day for mommy).
She continues to be so much fun, and we are loving watching more and more of her personality come out. Zoe is rarely upset and is so smiley. The teachers at her school tell us all the time what a happy baby she is!

9-month-old Little Lady
It is crazy to think that this little girl is 3 months shy of being one. We have enjoyed all 9 months of her, and know that we have so much to look forward to. She definitely keeps us on our toes, and I have no doubt that this isn't stopping anytime soon!
She has made many changes this month and continues to grow up more and more. Zoe has been army crawling for quite a few months now, but finally decided she actually likes being on all fours. She pulls up to stand and cruises along furniture ALL THE TIME. She is even really good at getting herself down (this makes her mama happy)!
We continue to be so surprised by how strong she is how easily she maneuvers herself around. She loves to explore, and when left alone she can play for quite a while just moving about the room. She and Evan have started to have a ton of fun together. It is so cute to see her seek out his attention and he loves entertaining her! You can check out the video below where Evan is pretending that Zoe is his fish. She loved it!!
Moving Mayhem
This post is long overdue, but I feel like I am barely keeping my head above water these days. I'll give you the abbreviated version of what's been going on the last couple of months.
We put our house on the market in April, and much to our surprise it sold rather quickly. We were lucky that we had quite a bit of traffic, and kept it clean enough with two little ones to find a buyer. It was somewhat bittersweet. The house in Pearland was our first "home". It was where David and I started our life as a twosome, and where we eventually brought both babies home. We both knew that we were making the right choice for our family, but it didn't come without a ton of mixed emotions when we ultimately left.
One of the hardest things about the move, was that we had FANTASTIC neighbors. We had gotten really close to Brent and Katy and loved living next door to them. We had come to depend on them for everything that we didn't have ;) They were even kind enough to let us barge into their dinner time one night for a showing and let us feed and bath our kids there. You can see how much fun these little guys had together! (Garrett Moody got the best neighbors, ever!!)
After we knew we had a contract on our house, we were faced with the fact that we had no house to move into. As the days went on it was becoming more likely that we weren't going to even have anything in the works before we moved out. Luckily, I also have the best brother and sister-in-law in the world that were open to me moving my entire family into their house. We are so blessed that they are laid back about these things.
Not to mention that they had just bought their own house, hadn't even moved in, when they agreed to let us stay. We are now living as one crazy dysfunctional family with 4 adults (one that's pregnant), a 3 year old, a 9 month old, and a dog. They must really love us!!
Evan has been super excited to stay with Michael and Katy and has definitely enjoyed all the perks that come with staying with his aunt and uncle. He loves the walks with Cooper, looking for peacocks, and the occasional stop by Baskin Robbins to pick up a "treat".
Fortunately for everyone though, we have officially found a house and will hopefully be closing in September. We were lucky enough to see the house for sale before it actually hit the market and got an offer in rather early. The house is actually on the same street as Michael and Katy (they can't get rid of us). We are very excited about finally have a new home, and starting all the chaos that comes with it!

8 Months...a little late
To say that this past month as been crazy is a definite understatement. We sold our house, moved all of our stuff to storage, moved in with Michael and Katy (bless them), and are in the process of trying to find a new home. As I write this we are officially homeless!! More on that later...
Zoe baby hasn't missed a beat amidst all the chaos. In fact, she is keeping up quite well and is a busy as ever. She is incredibly mobile, moving all over the house, and most recently learned to pull herself up on EVERYTHING!! She is one brave girl and is at the beginnings of cruising around furniture. Uh oh!!
She continues to be such a joy! I feel like I say this every month, but she is so content I think it surprises me and David. She love to play and explore and has gotten very curious. Zoe still loves her mama, and I'm going to hold on to that as long as I can. I have a feeling Miss Independent won't be like that for long. My baby is growing way too fast!
