I need more practice!

Obviously I have not done my best at keeping this up and am vowing to myself to do a much better job. Sometimes things get in the way i.e. a month of full of sickness that doesn't allow me to update this as much as I would like.
Needless to say, we have had a crazy, but eventful March. It started with Evan finally deciding (in the same day) to pull himself up to standing and get himself onto all fours. Unfortunately we had an exciting weekend planned on the weekend of March 13, but all three of us were victims of the nasty stomach bug going around. Yuck!! It was terrible. Poor Evan, it took him days to finally recover. This last week we took him in for a bad cough and a low grade fever and good thing I did because he has strep throat! Craziness! It doesn't seem like he can catch a break. I am hoping that as we head into the warmer weather we are going to be done with all of this sickness, I don't think I can handle anymore.
On a more exciting note, Evan is 10 months old! I can't believe it. He actually started crawling on my birthday, so that was super exciting. Now that he is crawling he has gotten very brave. In a weeks time he went from barely moving to crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling up on everything and trying to walk along the furniture. Needless to say with his new found skills he has already had a few falls!
I have posted a few photos from March. I hope you guys enjoy!

Our Trip to Mississippi!

A couple of weekends ago we headed to Mississippi for Rylee and Presley's gymnastics birthday party. It was so great to see everyone and we had so much fun we even thought it was a good idea to participate in some gymnastics. I think we were all feeling that one the next day!!! Evan loved his little "girlfriends" and we only wish they lived closer so we could have more fun times like this. We hope you enjoy some photos that we took from the weekend!

8 Months Old!! Wow!!

I can't believe my baby boy is already 8 months old. I feel I was just pregnant or just bringing him home from the hospital. Time definitely flies and he is growing up way too fast for his Mommy. I know I can't keep him a baby forever, so I am trying to enjoy every step along the way. He is more and more fun everyday and is learning something new constantly. Just this week he started scooting backwards when he is on his tummy and he is also starting to try to pull up. I keep telling him to slow down, but he's not really listening!

Aunt Sarah Came to Visit!

Last weekend we were so excited that Sarah was able to come and see us for a short visit. She hadn't been to Houston in quite a while, so we were glad she could come. She brought her friend Karen, whom we had heard so much about, so it was nice to meet her as well. We love that Sarah lives close enough that we can give her a much needed break from "studying" and she can come enjoy Evan. Although, I'm not convinced that she doesn't just come for the free food!! :) I thought that I would share some photos from her visit.

I'm going to give this a shot!

I have been wanting to start a blog since before Evan was even born. Needless to say, I am just now getting around to it. Instead of focusing on making it pretty and exciting (which would take much more energy) I figured I would just go ahead and start it up and I can always make changes later. Let's be honest, most of you guys are going to just be looking at the photos anyway. I think this could be a really fun way for our family and friends to see what is happening in our lives and what exciting things Evan is doing. He is growing up so fast and documenting it is such a great way to capture and share how much fun he is. These are a few photos that we have taken recently!

He somehow got spit up in his hair and it looked like we put product in it and styled it. Obviously he thought it was funny too!

Having fun with Daddy!
