PawPaw wears a cap!!

I know I have a lot of catching up to do, but I was looking at these couple of photos and they were just too cute not to post really fast.
My dad left his cap here a few weeks ago and of course Evan knew right away that it was PawPaw's. He decided he wanted to sport it one morning and I'm glad I caught him in the act. In true Evan fashion, he even had to correct me when I mentioned it was PawPaw's hat. He told me PawPaw wears caps!! He is in fact right, but oh so particular!

Happy Easter!

I know. I'm not the best at updating this, but I couldn't resist sharing a few photos from last weekend's Easter festivities. Evan had a great weekend. He dyed his first eggs, went on his first Easter egg hunt, and looked very spiffy for church on Sunday. He is getting to be such a big boy.

When we first got dressed for church on Sunday he wasn't so sure he liked the tie, but he grew very fond of it as the day went on. I took it off before his nap and before he would lay down he made David put it back on. He wore that cute little tie until 4pm. Ha! Sweet boy!

A Good Start

So maybe I haven't been as good as I had hoped, but this is better I think??? It's only been 1 month since my last post!!

We have had a great start to the year and a few changes that we made that seem to be going really well. We decided just after the first of the year that we were going to move Evan to a different daycare and his first day was January 17th. It was something that we had thought about for a while and finally took the plunge and moved him. I had a hard time at first with telling the old place goodbye but couldn't be happier with our decision now and Evan seems to love it. He already knows his teachers and his friends names and most days he has very little interest in going home when I arrive. I think that's a good sign.

We have had a good start to the year and I wanted to share a few more photos of Evan being Evan. He is so silly these days and it has been so much fun seeing his personality evolve. He gets more and more hardheaded by the day, but I'll take those times any day if I get to keep the joy and laughter he brings too.

Animal Trivia

Evan doesn't always cooperate anymore when we try to video him and his cuteness, but this past week we were able to catch him as he played with his animals.

Like I have mentioned before he has really gotten into playing with his animals and setting up his entire farm. It is really cute, he even closes them in the pin, walks the in and out of the gate, and places them in the barn. He is definitely a boy after his Paw Paw's heart. ;)

He wasn't sure at first that he wanted to participate in my quiz since I was interrupting some very important time spent with his tractors, but nonetheless he decided he would play along!

A New Year...A New Blog

Okay, so my new year's resolution is to try to keep this blog up a little bit better. HA! I guess since my last post was in September I have way too much catching up to do, to even start. I'm going to start this new year fresh with just a few fun photos from the last couple of weeks.

Michael and Katy were sweet enough to give us a Flip cam for Christmas, and we have been putting it to good use trying to video our active 18-month-old. I am hoping that we will be able to post some of the funny videos on here for everyone to enjoy!

I decided to share a few photos of Evan doing some of the things that he enjoys the most right now!

Evan definitely has his Daddy's sweet tooth. He LOVED all the treats he got "because it was Christmas."

Evan really likes hats right now. He can find one ANYWHERE, and it is so funny how long he will keep one on his head.

Max is right up there on the list of Evan's top loves. He is crazy about his kitty and Max is such a good sport. Do you know another cat that will let a little boy ride him like a horse?

This 18-month-old little boy will try to climb into and on top of anything he can.

Evan's rent-a-dog! Cooper is his favorite dog in the whole world. He has really started to show Cooper how much he loves him.

COWS!!! and anything that has to do with them. This is Evan helping Paw Paw feed the cows in Hungerford. He now says "Paw Paw feed cow"

Really starting to independent play with a lot of his toys. Cars are right up there among his favs.

This picture epitomizes Evan right now. I don't think there is a better picture that shows how he likes to spend his play time. He will set up his entire farm and play with all of his animals and tractors.
