Moving Mayhem

This post is long overdue, but I feel like I am barely keeping my head above water these days. I'll give you the abbreviated version of what's been going on the last couple of months.

We put our house on the market in April, and much to our surprise it sold rather quickly. We were lucky that we had quite a bit of traffic, and kept it clean enough with two little ones to find a buyer. It was somewhat bittersweet. The house in Pearland was our first "home". It was where David and I started our life as a twosome, and where we eventually brought both babies home. We both knew that we were making the right choice for our family, but it didn't come without a ton of mixed emotions when we ultimately left.

One of the hardest things about the move, was that we had FANTASTIC neighbors. We had gotten really close to Brent and Katy and loved living next door to them. We had come to depend on them for everything that we didn't have ;) They were even kind enough to let us barge into their dinner time one night for a showing and let us feed and bath our kids there. You can see how much fun these little guys had together! (Garrett Moody got the best neighbors, ever!!)

After we knew we had a contract on our house, we were faced with the fact that we had no house to move into. As the days went on it was becoming more likely that we weren't going to even have anything in the works before we moved out. Luckily, I also have the best brother and sister-in-law in the world that were open to me moving my entire family into their house. We are so blessed that they are laid back about these things.
Not to mention that they had just bought their own house, hadn't even moved in, when they agreed to let us stay. We are now living as one crazy dysfunctional family with 4 adults (one that's pregnant), a 3 year old, a 9 month old, and a dog. They must really love us!!

Evan has been super excited to stay with Michael and Katy and has definitely enjoyed all the perks that come with staying with his aunt and uncle. He loves the walks with Cooper, looking for peacocks, and the occasional stop by Baskin Robbins to pick up a "treat".

Fortunately for everyone though, we have officially found a house and will hopefully be closing in September. We were lucky enough to see the house for sale before it actually hit the market and got an offer in rather early. The house is actually on the same street as Michael and Katy (they can't get rid of us). We are very excited about finally have a new home, and starting all the chaos that comes with it!
